As part of the Critical Thinking Days, a workshop entitled “Augmented and Virtual Reality with Critical Thinking: Create, Evaluate and Decide with Evidence” brought together educators and participants interested in exploring the intersection of immersive technologies and innovative educational practices.

Throughout the workshop, participants engaged in practical and reflective activities that demonstrated how Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and immersive environments can be integrated with clear pedagogical purpose to foster deeper learning and critical engagement.

The session focused on:

🔹 Promoting critical analysis and evidence-based reasoning

🔹 Supporting informed decision-making and problem-solving

🔹 Designing meaningful and student-centred learning experiences

🔹 Exploring the educational potential of immersive technologies

🔹 Encouraging creativity, reflection, and active participation

The workshop created a rich space for experimentation, dialogue, and knowledge exchange, bringing together professionals interested in educational innovation and the development of more creative, evidence-based, and transformative teaching practices.

By combining critical thinking with immersive technologies, participants explored new ways of preparing learners for the challenges and opportunities of an increasingly digital world.
