On February 26, the first meeting with seniors took place at the “Adebar” Culture Laboratory in Kołobrzeg, Poland. The event brought together 13 volunteers from Zespół Szkół Nr 1 in Kołobrzeg, accompanied by the supervisor of the School Volunteer Club, and approximately 50 senior participants.
During the meeting, the volunteers delivered a presentation on internet safety and the practical use of information technologies in everyday life. They shared valuable tips, answered participants’ questions, and distributed specially prepared informational leaflets designed to support digital literacy among seniors.
The initiative aimed to familiarize older adults with modern technologies, strengthen intergenerational relationships, and promote the spirit of volunteering and community engagement. The event provided an excellent opportunity for young people and seniors to learn from one another, exchange experiences, and build meaningful connections through education and cooperation.
This successful gathering demonstrated how digital education and volunteer activities can contribute to a more inclusive and connected community.
