This week, 16 teachers from Slovakia were welcomed to Maia, Portugal, to take part in training activities connected to the Erasmus+ project “The Power of AR and VR.”
During the first day, participants explored how Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) can transform abstract concepts into concrete and meaningful learning experiences. Through practical activities, the teachers discovered innovative ways to integrate immersive technologies into their teaching practice and enhance student engagement.
A key highlight of the training was the creation of 360-degree photos and videos, which participants later experienced through ClassVR headsets. This hands-on approach allowed them to fully appreciate the educational potential of immersive technologies and experience learning from a new perspective.
The training concluded with valuable exchanges of ideas, collaborative learning, and inspiring discussions. The knowledge and experiences gained during the programme will now accompany the participants back to Slovakia, where they can apply these innovative approaches in their own classrooms.
This activity further strengthens international cooperation and supports the project’s mission of empowering educators to use AR and VR as powerful tools for teaching and learning.
