Almost everyone loves sugar. Chocolate bars, cakes, sweets, sugary drinks, muffins, and much more are thing we eagerly reach for everyday . But do you know how it affects on your organism? If not, i’m here to tell you some about it.
I would like to start by saying that many scientists say, that sugar is toxic for the body. Why? The answer is obvious. It’s because of how many disadvantages come from eating it too much and too often. Main defects are for example:
- overweight and obesity
- diseases such as diabetes, insulin resistance, heart diseases
- increased risk of cancer
- skin problems
- For example: acne and pimples
The next thing is our well-being. Often when we abuse sugar, we may feel constantly tired, bored, and may even have mood swings. It’s because sugar is and addictive substance and even though it gives us a huge boost of energy, it is just a short-lived effect and will not satisfy our need in full. Later our blood glucose level drops quickly and that’s why we easily become more tired.
But don’t worry. The above benefits do not mean that you can’t eat sugar to be healthy. And even the opposite. Sugar is very necessary for the proper functioning of our body, so it should be supplied but better not in the form of „unhealthy” sugar.

- maple syrup
At the end I wanted to say that everything is for people, but we have to remember to know the limits. Using or consuming something in excessive amounts may have a negative impact on ourselves.
