In today’s blog I would like to tell you some myths and facts of healthy eating. There is a lot of different views, opinions and thought you can find on internet, but which of them are true? A lot of people are lied to, which causes them to make many mistakes in life. But how can you know if facts about healthy lifestyle are true or false? I’m here to help and tell you about the most famous theories on this topic.
- MYTH- Coffee is a poison and we shouldn’t drink it
For sure it is an addictive type of drink, but there is no confirmation that it poisons our body. Of course if you don’t have any contraindications. Coffee, thanks to a large amount of caffeine, helps with better concentration and its regular consumption can prevent the development of some diseases. But remember if you start to notice any unnatural side effects after consuming it, you should stop drinking it as soon as possible.
2. FACT- Honey is healthier than regular sugar
Honey is considered a better choice than sugar, because it contains natural nutrients, unlike sugar, which does not have them at all. Honey also has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. In fact it is also much sweeter than usual sugar. Remember to not eat it too much, honey is still sugar and eating it in a wrong way may have bad influence on your organism.
3. MYTH- Gluten is harmful
For most people gluten is not harmful and does not cause the body to function incorrectly. It’s only dangerous for people with allergies and have a „celiac disease”. To sum up, if you don’t feel the need to eliminate it from your diet, you don’t really have to.
4. Eating too much nuts can cause you to gain weight quickly
Due to the large amount of fat they contain, they have a lot of calories. As we eat them frequently in large quantities, our weight goes up. They are small and we can think that they are a great idea for a snack, and of course they are! Nuts have a lot of vitamins and minerals which are very necessary for a perfect function of a human body, but as always you should remember to know where to stop.
